Kim Jin-Woo

Abstract
Since the development of LeFort I osteotomy and sagittal split ramal osteotomy at 1960s, orthognathic surgery has been
established as effective treatment modalities for severe malocclusion and dentofacial deformity. Not only the improvement of deformity through orthognathic surgery, but also proper prognosis control for stable results have clinically great importance. Therefore, prediction and management of post-operative changes and relapse can be regarded as a significant part of treatment for malocclusion and dentofacial deformity. In this paper, the author would like to discuss the long-term stability following orthognathic surgery for various indications such as patients with skeletal class II and III patients, anterior open bite, and surgeryfirst orthodontics.
